The leading 50 scores (professionals and amateurs) after 36-holes and any tied for 50th place, shall qualify for the third round (54-holes)
The leading 35 players and any tied for 35th place (professionals and amateurs), will qualify for the fourth round; the remainder will be eliminated.
Men's:
The leading 50 professional scores after 36-holes and any tied for 50th place, plus any amateur player on an equivalent or better 36-hole total to the 50th placed professional, shall qualify for the third round (54-holes).
The leading 35 players and any tied for 35th place (professionals and amateurs) will qualify for the fourth round; the remainder will be eliminated.

Brett Coletta (Vic)
The Victorian was a popular winner of last year’s Open, producing some sensational golf to post back-to-back 65s at the weekend and finish with an 18-under-par total. It was his third victory on the Challenger PGA Tour of Australasia and helped him to third overall on the end-of-season Order of Merit to earn a DP World Tour card for the 2024/25 season.

Jack Buchanan (SA)
In just his second year as a professional, Buchanan has had a spectacular 2024/25 season on the Challenger PGA Tour of Australasia. His breakthrough win came in a playoff at the WA PGA Championship in Kalgoorlie before he jagged a come-from-behind victory at Webex Players Series South Australia in Willunga. He’s fourth on the current Order of Merit.

Michael Hendry (NZ)
With 20 years as a professional in the bank, the Kiwi is one of the most experienced players in this week’s field – and also owns one of the best career records. He has 17 wins across the globe, including one on the Japan Golf Tour last year, and has played in The Open Championship on three occasions. He beat David Micheluzzi by four shots with an impressive 21-under-par total in the 2023 Vic Open.

WOMEN
Jiyai Shin (Korea)
A frequent and successful visitor to Australia who now plays most of her golf in Japan, Jiyai is a former world No.1 and a two-time major championship winner. In December, Jiyai claimed her second Women’s Australian Open title at Kingston Heath Golf Club after triumphing at Royal Adelaide in 2013. With 65 wins worldwide on six different tours, she is the winningest Korean golfer, male or female, of all time.
WPGA Tour Australasia wins: 5 (2013 Australian Open; 2016 RACV Ladies Masters; 2018 Canberra Classic; 2023 Women’s Vic Open; 2024 Australian Open).
Jenny Shin (Korea)
A professional since 2010, Jenny enjoyed a successful 2024 on the LPGA Tour with 10 top-20 finishes. She g has been inside the top 100 on the world ranking list for the past 11 years. In 2016, Shin secured the only win of her LPGA career so far at the Volunteers of America Texas Shootout. In 2023, she contended at the ISPS HANDA Australian Open, eventually finishing T3, and she returned to Sydney to be runner-up at the Webex Players Series event at Castle Hill.
WPGA Tour Australasia wins: 0
Robyn Choi (Qld)
From the Gold Coast, Choi turned professional after earning her LPGA Tour card in 2018. She has now played in four major championships, the latest being last year’s Chevron Championship. During her amateur career, Choi represented Australia and won the Queensland Amateur Championship in both 2015-2016. Her LPGA Tour career includes two top-25 finishes.
