Kyriacou soars in Saudi
by Martin Blake
Australia's Steph Kyriacou has strengthened her grip on the rookie of the year award on the Ladies European Tour with another top-five finish, this time in Saudi Arabia. The 19-year-old Sydney star closed with a 69 to finish tied-fourth in the Saudi International. It is her fifth top-10 finish of a season that includes her career-shaping victory at the Bonville Classic in February. Kyriacou has won almost 40,000 Euros and leads the rookie of the year award easily from England's Alice Hewson. She is also fourth in the tour's cumulative points ranking, led by Sweden's Emily Pederson who beat England's Georgia Hall in a playoff on Sunday. The LET has just two events remaining for the 2020 season.
